On June 27 – from 8AM-10AM fifty model cars will be touring the Garden of Eden in Lucas. The 2009 Ocean To Ocean Tour commemorates the 1909 Ocean To Ocean Endurance Contest from New York City to Seattle in 23 days. The Henry Ford Model T#2 was the winner of the contest and catapulted the Ford Motor Company into the automotive industry!The Garden of Eden and Grassroots Art Center will offer $5 tours of each attraction all day on June 27th to visitors. Do you have what it takes to win the “ULTIMATE” talent showdown? We are looking for groups, adults, and children that want to participate in the Ultimate Talent Showdown. There are 3 categories (Adult, Group, and Youth). All talents are welcome, showcase music, dance, juggling and more! Anything goes, but only the most talented will be chosen as the winner in each category!

On Wednesday, June 10th, the Luray Historical Society is sponsoring a dinner and music event featuring Dan Bliss from Kansas City on the guitar. Dinner is good old country fried chicken and all the trimmings including desserts. Dan will be entertaining with acoustic blues, ragtime, swing and folk music throughout dinner and afterwards as well. He is an award winning guitarist and will be playing in Hays and the Smoky Hill River Festival the following weekend. We are fortunate to be on his tour!
The evening starts at 7:00pm at the Old Stone Church in Luray. Tickets are only $10.00 each and that provides you dinner AND concert.

The 4 boys in CYO are raising money to go to National Catholic Youth Convention in Kansas City, MO in November. Each registrant and roon for 3 nights is $385, plus meals. Your participation is welcome & greatly appreciated!
